Bills’ Gabe Davis shoots his shot at Rihanna
They say you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis isn't one for not taking chances, no matter how big. With Rihanna slated to perform at halftime of this year's Super Bowl, Davis took the chance to throw his hat into the ring to perform alongside the music icon.
With millions of eyeballs set to be glued to the TV during the show, could we really see Davis and Rihanna belting out notes in front of what will be a sold-out crowd at State Farm Stadium?
Who will win the Super Bowl?
If the receiver has his way, then yes. Speaking with Kay Adams on the "Up and Adams Show," the Bills receiver put his best foot forward in the hopes of the pair singing together during half-time.
He said:
“[Rihanna] should bring me out there... me and her would look good, if she needs me to hit a couple notes I will."
We know that it likely won't happen, but at least the Bills star saw a chance and took his shot, even if it didn't exactly go to plan. We hope that Rihanna was at least watching, and who knows, maybe his vocals might give the music icon something to think about.
Gabe Davis turning into a Bills star
While his vocals could use some work, his football playing ability doesn't. The tall receiver had a career-best season in 2022 as he totaled 48 catches for 836 yards and seven touchdowns (all career-highs).
He is also one of Josh Allen's favorite targets in the postseason. In 2021, through two games, davis caught 10 passes for 242 yards and five touchdowns with four coming against the Kansas City Chiefs in that epic playoff clash at Arrowhead.
He was also serviceable in his two playoff games this year, catching eight passes for 147 yards and a touchdown, but again, the Bills couldn't get to the Super Bowl.
Still only 23-years-old, the receiver has huge upside and we would bet that he is set for another year of improvement next season.
