Bills’ Von Miller makes bold claim on Odell Beckham Jr’s landing spot with star WR being pursued by multiple contenders
Odell Beckham Jr. is still recovering from an ACL tear in last year's Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams. As such, he remains a free agent. As he rehabs and works towards being able to play again this season, suitors are beginning to emerge for his services.
Following their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller has no doubt that his former Rams teammate will be joining him. He's said as much before, but after the huge win on Sunday, he doubled down. Here's what he said to USA Today:
“He’s coming here, man. He’s coming to the Bills.”
Beckham, known to the world as OBJ, will have tons of suitors. Miller believes that they are showing up in vain and have no shot at signing his former teammate. But is that likely?
Where is Odell Beckham Jr. going this year?
If Miller is to be believed, then Beckham is going to the Bills. However, there are plenty of other teams that have more pressing needs at wide receiver. The New York Giants (Beckham's former team) sit at 5-1, but haven't gotten a lot of production from the wide receiver position. Adding OBJ would be a huge addition and help boost their playoff ambitions.
The Green Bay Packers have struggled offensively without a top wide receiver and may be the franchise most in need of Beckham's services. After two consecutive losses, the Packers are 3-3 and need some help to drive them forward.
The Baltimore Ravens just signed Desean Jackson, but he won't be the top wideout he once was. The former Rams star would have most likely been their top target, and they may still be in the race to sign him. The Kansas City Chiefs might also be interested since they don't have a number one wide receiver right now, either. Even teams who aren't in desperate need of wide receiver help will probably pursue him.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a very talented wide receiver room. Adding another Super Bowl winner might make it the best ever.
Obviously, the Bills aren't desperate at wide receiver right now and there are plenty of teams interested in OBJ. If Miller wants the Bills to sign him, they may need to act quickly.
