Bills WR Keon Coleman opens up on pressure of filling Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis' shoes

Keon Coleman has a huge role to play with the Buffalo Bills, and he is just a rookie. The second-round wide receiver was drafted in the wake of the departures of Stefon Diggs (Houston Texans) and Gabe Davis (Jacksonville Jaguars), and already questions are being raised about whether he can live up to their standards.

But if he is to be asked, the comparisons do not bother him. Speaking to Super Bowl-winning cornerback-turned-sportscaster Bryant McFadden for CBS, Coleman said:

"All I've to do is come in and be myself. Be who I'm supposed to be. The play is gonna make itself. All I gotta do is to be in the moment because I'm not Gabe, I'm not Stefon. I'm just Keon. We got a lot of other guys that definitely complement my game and we complement each other's game along with Josh to make things work."

Meanwhile, quarterback Josh Allen believes that his new wideout's playstyle is a great fit for the Bills, telling the NFL Network recently:

“I think his play style (is) what we needed - a guy that’s a big-bodied guy and can go win one a back-shoulder fade and not afraid to be a physical wide receiver."

Keon Coleman shares why he would not rather golf with Josh Allen

Speaking of Josh Allen, he is one of many NFL players, both past and present, who are known to spend their offseasons playing golf.

However, one must not expect him and Keon Coleman sighting at a golf course anytime soon, even though he does the sport himself - as he revealed during his Draft Combine interview. That is because he believes his quarterback would embarrass him if they ever went head to head.

In that same interview, Coleman said:

"He's a legit golfer. I'm like, yeah, I ain't golfing with you. We can't bond over that. We've got to go throw rocks at the lack or something."

That belief is not unfounded - Allen has a prior history of participating in high-profile golf tournaments. He has twice skipped the Pro Bowl to compete in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and he and Patrick Mahomes battled Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in The Match.

His house in Orchard Park also has multiple golfing amenities - a par-3 course, a six-hole green, three tee boxes, and even a swing simulator.
