The 26-year-old is currently in his fifth season in the NFL. So far this season, the Pro Bowler has 26 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and four tackles for a loss.

In his career, he has 170 tackles, 33 tackles for a loss, and 26 sacks, including 12 sacks back in the 2018-19 season. That season, he finished third in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

Why was Bradley Chubb traded?

The former NC State star was likely traded for two reasons. The team needed draft picks after sending their 2023 first- and second-round picks to the Seattle Seahawks as part of the trade for quarterback Russell Wilson.

The other reason relates to how they drafted another linebacker, Nik Bonitto, in the second round of this year's NFL Draft. The Broncos also signed defensive end Randy Gregory this offseason to a five-year, $70 million contract.

Bradley Chubb contract

The star linebacker signed a four-year, $27.3 million contract with the Broncos in 2018. The contract includes a $17.9 million signing bonus, $27.2 million guaranteed, and an average yearly salary of $6.8 million. This season, he will earn a base salary of $7,064,444, while carrying a cap hit of $7,064,444 and a dead cap value of $12.7 million.

What did Dolphins give up for Bradley Chubb

Dolphins general manager Chris Grier gave up a 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 fourth-round pick, and running back Chase Edmonds to land the linebacker. The Dolphins had an extra first-rounder from a previous trade with the San Francisco 49ers.

Chubb played a valuable role in Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero's scheme. He filled an important spot in both the rush defense as well as the pass defense, playing alongside the likes of Patrick Surtain II, Kareem Jackson, and K'Waun Williams.
