Brett Favre makes his opinion clear on Jayden Daniels' clutch Hail Mary in Commanders' win over Bears

Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels was already having one of the top rookie seasons this year and added to his strong start Sunday. Trailing the Chicago Bears 15-12 in their Week 8 matchup, the Commanders had one last chance to win the game with a Hail Mary.

From their 48-yard line, the Commanders had 52 yards to score to win the game. With the game on the line, Daniels evaded pressure, remained poised and then heaved a bomb into the endzone that was tipped and then landed in the hands of wide receiver Noah Brown.

After pulling off one of the best Hail Marys of all time and one of the best plays this season, Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre showed respect to Daniels on X after the clutch game-winning pass.

Favre said:

"Great example of never giving up on a play. Heck, if he had a little more on the ball he wouldve hit the receiver without the tip."

Yesterday's game was a battle between the No. 1 pick and No. 2 overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft. Daniels' Commanders beat Caleb Williams' Chicago Bears. Daniels outperformed Williams yesterday, completing 21-of-38 passes for 326 yards and a touchdown. He rushed for 52 yards on eight carries.

Williams completed 10-of-24 passes for 131 yards and rushed for 41 yards on 10 carries.
