Brittany Mahomes goes off NFL refs on Twitter as Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs lose to Bengals yet again
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost a close game to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 13. With a scoreline of 27-24, it was the Chiefs' third straight loss to the Bengals, as Joe Burrow calmly led them to their fourth straight win.
Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, was seemingly upset with how the game was officiated. She felt that officials were favoring the Bengals, and as a result, the Chiefs found it difficult to get going on Sunday.
Brittany Mahomes showed off her frustration via her tweets, as she wasn't present in Cincinnati to watch the game.
Brittany also retweeted these two tweets and took a dig at the NFL officials:
It was undoubtedly an aggravating loss for the Kansas City Chiefs, and when decisions don't go in your favor, it leaves the fans irate.
Brittany was upset as the Chiefs trailed from behind and ultimately lost the game to a familiar foe.
The Kansas City Chiefs will return to play at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16 when they go up against the Seattle Seahawks.
We can expect Brittany to be present at the game, and by then, hopefully, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be back among the wins.
Patrick Mahomes shows disappointment after losing to the Bengals
Patrick Mahomes was frustrated with another loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but he credited Joe Burrow and his team for playing well. Here's what he said after the game:
"I mean, first of all, they got a great quarterback. A guy that's won a lot of football games, even though it was in college. Today he's won a lot of football games now in the NFL. He's someone that competes to the very end too. They got playmakers all over there."
He continued:
"They're well coached and have a good defense. And at the end of the day, they just they've executed at a higher level and the critical situations, and so we started off slow. We got back in the game the flow of things, and then we had a turnover late and then the miss kick..."
Mahomes added:
"If you just try to take away those two things in the fourth quarter, and if you if you're playing good teams, you make those turnover on downs basically in the fourth quarter. Those are the things that are kind of bite you at the end."
The Chiefs are no longer the 1st seed in the AFC, as due to their loss on Sunday night, the Buffalo Bills took that spot. The Chiefs will be up against the Denver Broncos next week and are expected to get a win.
Mahomes and Burrow are likely to face each other again in the playoffs, and the Chiefs quarterback wouldn't want to lose his fourth straight game to the former LSU quarterback.
