Brittany Mahomes plays pivotal role in making Patrick Mahomes' life 'less stressful' during football season
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have been together since high school. From playing professionally to celebrating Super Bowl wins, the NFL power couple has constantly supported each other.
While Brittany no longer plays professionally, the soon-to-be mom of three is well aware of her husband's focus on the NFL once the season begins.
In an interview with WHOOP, Brittany shared how she ensures Mahomes is less stressed.
"And I lost my husband in football last season. But that was like, as a wife I understand that's what you want to do. I wasn't ragging on him. I wasn't interfering with what he had," Brittany said. [17:30]
She doubled down on the same thoughts, explaining how Patrick takes over during the offseason.
"I think that's why we work so well. It's like, I understand that during football season, Patrick is with football, and so I take on a lot of the things that I can just to make his life a little bit less stressful outside of football. And then off-season, it's all him, buddy. I understand that's football. And so I try to take care of as many things I can and take things off of his plate so that he can work and do what he loves."
Patrick Mahomes and family relax with a fun day off ahead of the 2024 season
The NFL regular season games begin in September. Mahomes, focused on securing a three-peat for the Kansas City Chiefs, must be on his a-game from the beginning.
The family, however, is making sure to spend some time off together.
On Thursday, Brittany shared a few photos of them at an arcade.
Brittany and their daughter Sterling Skye were on individual bumper cars, while Patrick Mahomes and baby Bronze rode together.
"The most fun day," Brittany wrote in her story.
The Chiefs begin their 2024 NFL season against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
