Broncos star Bo Nix's wife Izzy shares wholesome reaction to QB's first 'Rookie of the Week' award
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was named "Rookie of the Week" for his Week 10 performance against the Kansas City Chiefs. After the news was announced, his wife, Izzy, reshared and responded to his first NFL weekly honor.
Izzy Smoke Nix reshared the post on her Instagram Story and then added her own emojis, one of the proud face and the other a blue heart.
Izzy Smoke Nix had a lot to be proud of after his performance last week. Despite the Kansas City Chiefs winning after a blocked field goal as time expired, Nix had a solid outing against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
He completed 22 of 30 attempted passes for a total of 215 passing yards and two touchdowns which accumulated to a passer rating of 115.3.
Nix was also named the NFL's "Rookie of the Month" in October, signaling his rise this season.
Izzy and Bo Nix were college sweethearts at Auburn University during his time with the Tigers. They got married in July 2022 before he transferred to the University of Oregon.
QB Bo Nix receives praise from Travis Kelce
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to win their third straight Super Bowl title. The undefeated Chiefs appeared as if they were going to lose their first game of the season in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.
The Chiefs blocked a field goal attempt by the Denver Broncos, securing the win and keeping Kansas City undefeated.
Despite the ending, Bo Nix's performance and growth in his rookie season has been acknowledged all around. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce praised Nix and explained how impressed he was with the rookie quarterback's performance on Sunday afternoon.
On this week's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Travis Kelce told his brother Jason Kelce how impressed he was by Nix. This was big praise coming from a player who spent seven seasons catching passes from Patrick Mahomes.
"Bo Nix — holy sh*t, that guy was f**king ripping it out there. Playing some good f**king football, man." - Travis Kelce said on the "New Heights" podcast.
In his first 10 games of the National Football League, Nix has completed 206 of 324 attempted passes. He's thrown for 1,968 yards and 10 passing touchdowns with just six interceptions. He has also rushed for 290 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
