Cam Newton jokes about being ready to crash Christian McCaffrey & Olivia Culpo’s wedding over missing invite

Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo tied the knot on June 29, but McCaffrey's first quarterback, Cam Newton, was not invited. He revealed on his podcast that he didn't get an invite, though some other former Carolina Panthers players were in attendance.

“Damn, CMac? I couldn’t get an invite? Is it because of Brock Purdy? Was Brock there? F**k that, man! You lucky I wasn’t there, CMac, ‘cause I would’ve crashed that mother***er. It looks like they had so much fun," Newton said on the Fourth and One podcast.

Newton thinks that it was his stance on Brock Purdy, McCaffrey's current quarterback, that left him on the outside. Newton infamously called him and other popular QBs "game managers" instead of "difference-makers."

Newton further expressed his disappointment:

“Damn, CMac? F**K! I wanted to look like Greg [Olsen]. And typical CMac looking like James Bond."

Christian McCaffrey reveals why Cam Newton didn't get wedding invitation

Cam Newton thought he was left out of Christian McCaffrey's wedding. As it turned out, it was just a communication issue. McCaffrey commented on the podcast clip, confirming as much.

He revealed that he and Greg Olsen discussed Newton's absence, which is undoubtedly felt by many people. McCaffrey said the wedding would have been nicer with Newton present, but they haven't texted in four years.

Newton, it seems, got a new number and McCaffrey didn't get it. The texts he sent to the former MVP didn't go through. McCaffrey joked that Newton must have moved on from their relationship, despite Newton being supportive of the running back on his podcast and show.

The former QB responded to McCaffrey's comment, seeking to remedy the phone number situation so that the two longtime teammates and friends could continue having a strong relationship. McCaffrey likely won't get married again, so that ship has sailed, but Newton can then be present at other events.
