CeeDee Lamb delivers cautious injury update as Cowboys look to avoid tank - "I'm banged up"

CeeDee Lamb is one of the standout players of the 2024 season, though his impressive performances might have been overshadowed by the Dallas Cowboys' (4-7) struggles. Injuries, poor decisions, and uncompetitive losses have tarnished the Cowboys' reputation. The team just ended a five-game losing streak in Sunday's 34-26 win against the Washington Commanders.

As the New York Giants visit Arlington for a Thanksgiving clash, Lamb revealed a concerning update on his physical condition on Tuesday.

“I’m banged up, I’m not even going to lie to you," the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver said. "I’m willing to do whatever, to go out there and do whatever to have my presence felt… I’m all for the team winning, as you can tell. This is definitely one of the toughest years for me, body-wise. But that ain’t stopping nothing.”

CeeDee Lamb expresses support for Mike McCarthy amid uncertainty about HC's future

The Dallas Cowboys' underperformance could have serious implications for coach Mike McCarthy's future with the team. Rumors of Deion Sanders potentially taking over his former team have only added to the tense atmosphere.

However, owner Jerry Jones changed his stance on a potential contract extension after the Cowboys' win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, calling the idea "not crazy" during an interview with 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday.

"This is a Super Bowl-winning coach. (He) has been there and done that. He has great ideas. We got a lot of football left."

CeeDee Lamb, who has spent his entire career under McCarthy, described him as "a player's coach" during the same press availability:

"We all love him, everything that he does for the team and as far as leading us, just having the confidence and everything that he's willing to put on a lot for us, we love every bit of it. So as for Jerry and all those situations, that ain't got nothing to do with me."

He was seconded by veteran cornerback Jourdan Lewis:

"We knew the type of talent that we had in this room, and we knew the type that we just need to hunker down and understand where we need to go as a team. The way we played last week, I would believe all of us do (believe in the coaching staff)."

McCarthy himself would deflect from the topic, instead choosing to focus on the upcoming game.
