CeeDee Lamb & Jerry Jones’ daughter Charlotte share warm moment after Cowboys star inks $136,000,000 deal
On Monday, the star wide receiver signed a four-year, $136 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys, ensuring that he stays beyond 2025. The following day, he made his return to the public eye to sign the contract at The Star, the team's practice facility in the suburb of Frisco.
He was greeted by none other than Charlotte Anderson, daughter of Jerry Jones and the Cowboys' chief brand officer, who expressed her joy with the following Instagram post:
"Look who is home!"
CeeDee Lamb reacts to signing $136 million extension with Cowboys
Here is what CeeDee Lamb had to say about signing his new contract:
"Quite honestly, I don't think it's going to be a step behind at all. I'm ready, I'm prepared for these moments, I've played this game my whole life."
Lately, Lamb did not attend the Cowboys' training camps since he got indulged in contract extension talks. This could normally mean going out of playing shape. But he looks adamant and claims to be staying fit, even adding more muscle to make him less susceptible to injuries.
"Got some body armor on me, got a little more body armor, I can take a couple more hits. I'm prepared for my opportunities," Lamb said.
Also, the star wideout seems to have mended his relationship with Jerry Jones after the Cowboys owner sparked controversy with a "no urgency" comment during negotiation talks.
"He's entitled to whatever he's got to say, as long as we get a deal done, I ain't got nothing I mean we had a businessman conversation, just had to clear the room. Everything is behind us. I'm not worried about nothing. We got what we needed to get done and now it's time for me to go ball," Lamb added.
Next up for the Cowboys is a contract extension for Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons, who will be on a fifth-year option next season. The Cowboys will kickstart their season at the Cleveland Browns on September 8.
