Chargers’ Joey Bosa provides glimpse into Jim Harbaugh’s methods in OTAs: “It’s been pretty intense”

The Los Angeles Chargers will be welcoming a new era ahead of the 2024 NFL season. They made a bold move during the offseason when they hired Jim Harbaugh to replace Brandon Staley as their head coach.

Harbaugh brings a reputation of intensity with him to his new role after winning a college football National Championship with the Michigan Wolverines last year.

Joey Bosa has already noticed a difference in the way the team has been preparing during OTAs this year now that Harbaugh is in charge.

Bosa has been with the team for eight years, so he is familiar with the culture around the organization. He commented on the situation during an interview with Jim Rome.

"We're locked in. Everybody's really on their details. It's been real serious. It's been pretty intense OTAs from what I've went through for so many years. We've been getting a lot of reps and really competing out there. I think the vibe is really good."

The Chargers have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL in recent years as they have failed to meet their expectations. Despite having an extremely talented roster and one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Justin Herbert, they have made it to the NFL Playoffs just once in the past five years.

This likely played a major role in the franchise's decision to hire Jim Harbaugh as they look to get back on track. As Joey Bosa pointed out, he has apparently changed the energy around the team as they prepare for the 2024 NFL season.

Jim Harbaugh brings a proven history of being a winning head coach with him to the Los Angeles Chargers. He won a college football national championship with the Michigan Wolverines last year. Before that, he also helped the San Francisco 49ers make a Super Bowl appearance during his first NFL job as a head coach.

After missing out on the postseason in four of the past five years, the franchise is hoping that Harbaugh can create a winning culture in Los Angeles. According to Sportskeeda's predictor, that won't be an easy task this year.

The tool rates the Chargers' playoff chances at just 17% for the upcoming 2024 NFL season. Despite Harbaugh's reputation, it may take some time to turn things around.
