The Chicago Bears are in a rebuilding phase and they had the first overall pick heading into this year's draft. However, weeks before the draft, the Carolina Panthers traded for the Bears' pick as the franchise showed their faith in Justin Fields. The Bears got a haul in return for the first overall pick and it was a great decision by the front office since they didn't want to draft a quarterback.

10th pick - Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
After trading the first overall pick to the Carolina Panthers, the Chicago Bears were scheduled to draft with the ninth overall pick, but the Philadelphia Eagles traded for their pick. The Bears ultimately drafted offensive tackle Darnell Wright out of Tennessee with the 10th overall pick.
The Bears improved their offensive line, which showed that they were completely bought in for Justin Fields. We might see them add more offensive players in the upcoming rounds after already being handed D.J. Moore from the Panthers via trade.

53rd pick - Gervon Carter, DL, Florida
56th pick - Tyrique Stevenson, CB, Miami
The Chicago Bears have drafted Florida DL Gervon Carter with the 53rd overall pick. It's another great value pick for the Bears, who decided to add a solid defensive player in the form of Carter after adding Wright in the first round.
The Bears made a trade to climb up the draft board as they gave up their 61st and 135th for the 56th overall pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bears have drafted cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, as they continue to strengthen their defense.

64th pick - Zacch Pickens, DT, South Carolina
With the 64th overall pick, the Chicago Bears drafted Zacch Pickens in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He is a defensive tackle and it was a position of need for the Bears. So far, the franchise has done well in the draft as they continue to revamp their defense.

115th pick: Roschon Johnson, RB, Texas
133rd pick: Tyler Scott, WR, Cincinnati
With the 115th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Bears further bolstered their offense by drafting running back Roschon Johnson from Texas. While the Bears improved their offense in the offseason, the addition of Johnson could prove to be vital for them.
With the 133rd overall pick, the Bears added Tyler Scott of Cincinnati as Justin Fields got another receiver to throw to. The Bears have made smart additions so far in this year's draft.

148th pick: Noah Swell, ILB, Oregon
165th pick: Terrell Smith, CB, Minnesota
With the 148th pick, the Bears drafted Noah Swell of Oregon. After trading away Roquan Smith last season, the franchise continues to add defensive talent to the team via this year's draft.
With the 165th pick, the Bears drafted Terrell Smith out of Minnesota as they continued to load up their defense and improved their secondary.

218th pick: Travis Bell, DT, Kennesaw State
258th pick: Kendall Williamson, CB, Stanford
With their final picks of this year's draft, the Chicago Bears drafted Travis Bell and Kendall Williamson to further bolster their defense. Now all the focus will be on Justin Fields as he will be under pressure. If he fails to perform and his team ends up having a good draft pick next year, we might see the Bears pursuing a quarterback.
