Ciara and kids hit "the griddy" to celebrate Russell Wilson's 195 yds, 3 TDS victory over Commanders
Russell Wilson is one lucky man. Following the quarterback's 195-yard, 3-TD game for the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Washington Commanders, Wilson's family celebrated in style.
His wife Ciara, daughter Sienna (7), and step-son Future (10) celebrated the milestones with the viral dance, "the Griddy," that has swept social media.
Talking about his game-winning pass, Wilson said:
“It was a big-time catch by Mike. I just tried to give him a chance, let him do his thing.”
That said, eight months ago, the situation was completely different for Russell Wilson. Ahead of the start of the new league year, he was released from the Denver Broncos – a team he was traded to in 2022 after playing for Seattle Seahawks from 2012-2021.
Throughout these constant ups and downs, Russell Wilson's wife, Ciara, has been by his side.
Russell Wilson's wife Ciara called the Steelers QB his "inspiration" following his release from Denver Broncos
After the Denver Broncos announced the release of Russell Wilson over sub-par performance and failure to take the team to the playoffs, the QB was not demoralized.
Instead, he showed gratitude, especially to the Broncos fandom for welcoming him and his family during his tenure in Denver.
"Over these last two years, you have welcomed my family and me with open arms," Wilson wrote. "This city will always hold a special place in my heart. Our family grew here, we made countless memories and friendships, and formed relationships that will last a lifetime."
He added:
"Tough times don’t last, but tough people do. God’s got me. I am excited for what’s next."
To which, Ciara commented:
"One of One! My greatest inspiration! I love you 3. Grateful!"
Russell and Ciara have been married for eight years now. Together, they share four children: daughter Sienna, 7, son Win, 4, and daughter Amora, 10 months. The couple is also raising Ciara's 10-year-old son Future, which the singer shares with rapper Future.
Speaking of keeping up with four children under one roof, the couple called it "non-stop entertainment," as reported by People Magazine.
Moreover, Ciara feels her idea of family as a child is exactly what she now shares with Wilson. So, it is safe to assume that just like Wilson, Ciara is one lucky wife to build a life with the Steelers QB.
