"It's been incredible" - Ciara opens up about starting a new chapter with Russell Wilson in Denver
Ciara and Russell Wilson were first linked with each other in 2015. Always ready to support one another, the couple recently started a new journey in Denver. Following a long stint with Seattle Seahawks, this is Wilson's first season with the Denver Broncos.
Naturally, a change in location can be significant for many. This includes the 36-year-old. While there is no predicting how one's NFL journey will go, Wilson and his family could be in Denver for a long time.
In a recent interview, Ciara spoke up about the move to Denver. They spent a decade in Seattle, making this an important milestone for the family. She seemed satisfied with the change, even if it needed some adjustments.
"Denver's amazing. The altitude is a beast. Walking up three - just like one flight of stairs, I'm like, 'Okay, I need some water. I need to take a deep breath. I got to come back. Alright, I'm back.' I mean, it's really something and you feel it, but it's been incredible.
"The fans have been amazing. The food is amazing. The way to my heart is good. I'm so happy. I love our home. My kids are happy in school. I love Denver - it's pretty amazing."
Ciara was also in the news due to her new collab with Walker Hayes. The singer has a successful career of her own.
Is Ciara's connection to her ex affecting Russell Wilson's performance?
Ciara broke up with rapper Future years ago. However, some have found a way to connect the celebrities together. Apparently, Future's song lyrics could be hinting at a possible relationship with Russell Wilson's better half. A recently released song featured Future saying this line:
"I’m the type to go after B and I still smash on C."
The C, some think, could mean Ciara. Most dismissed the theory, wondering how one can be sure that he meant her by the letter.
Some ultimately connected the dots to Wilson, wondering if the off-screen drama was affecting his performance with the Broncos.
While he had joined the team with promise, Wilson has underperformed with the Broncos. This season, Russ has five passing touchdowns, an 82.3 quarterback rating (23), and the fifth-lowest completion percentage in the NFL.
Fans eventually called out those responsible for the trade, making it clear that it was a bad decision. Some have blamed Future and his ex, while others seem to wonder if it is just a bad phase.
His performance against the Los Angeles Chargers was particularly disappointing. Wilson went three-for-eleven with 15 passing yards, with a QB rating of 39.6.
