Ciara reveals how she and Russell Wilson "keep the fire going" despite demanding schedules
Ciara and Russell Wilson both have busy careers and still have time to spend together with their growing family. Ciara was a guest on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" on Monday (November 11) afternoon and revealed the secret to their successful marriage.
Hudson asked Ciara how they find time to spend together while also retaining their busy schedules and raising their four children.
Hudson - "How do y'all keep the romance in the schedule? Because you and Russell both are extremely busy, and you've got four babies, talking about baby number five. So, how do you guys keep it romantic?" (TS-1:33)
Ciara revealed that it was having weekly date nights scheduled. She said that every Friday night is typically the day as it's the least busy for Russell Wilson during the NFL season.
She said that sometimes they are able to go on additional date nights during the week depending on their schedules. She said that dedicating the time each week to each other is what allows them to keep their relationship so strong.
Ciara - "You know what, we're really big on date nights. We have a date night every Friday because, in football, that's the off day of the week or the lighter day of the week. So, we do date nights every Friday, and we commit to it. If we're lucky, we add another one or two more to the week if we can. But I think that really helps keep the fire going."
Russell Wilson and Ciara met and began dating in 2015. They got engaged in March 2016 and then married in July 2016.
Ciara is 'open' to having a fifth child with Russell Wilson
Ciara welcomed her oldest son Future from her previous relationship with rapper Future. After she and Russell Wilson got married, they welcomed three children together, two daughters and one son. Their youngest daughter, Amora was born last December.
Ciara addressed the possibility of welcoming a fifth child while attending the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala. She told PEOPLE magazine that she is open to adding another child, just not yet.
"Russ keeps walking around going like this, like, 'Cinco'. And I'm like, 'High five, I love you too'. I mean, listen, I think we'll make it to five, but this mom needs a little time. Just a little bit," Ciara told PEOPLE.
In October, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback left a comment on his wife's Instagram page suggesting they have a fifth child which has sparked the question for the singer.
