Clark Hunt's wife Tavia congratulates Harrison Butker, wife Isabelle as couple welcome third child
Harrison Butker celebrated a major milestone as he and his wife Isabelle welcomed their third child. The Kansas City Chiefs kicker revealed the development on an episode of Fox's "The Ingraham Angle."
Tavia Hunt, the wife of team chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, responded to the development on Friday by congratulating the couple on her Instagram Stories:
"Congrats Isabelle & @buttkicker7 (birthday streamer and praying hands emojis)"
The Butkers' other two children are son James, born in 2019; and a daughter whose name and age have not been revealed.
Chiefs president Mark Donovan responds to Harrison Butker's "homemaker" speech
Five months after he shocked the audience at Benedictine College's commencement exercises with his "homemaker" speech, Harrison Butker is still feeling the aftereffects.
In that same episode, he expressed sadness at what he saw as the misinterpretation of his remarks:
"I was trying to speak life for so many women that have dedicated their life to being the homemaker, the one that raises the children. And it's a beautiful role, but it's not a role that should be diminished.
"There's nothing shameful if you are a woman and want to spend time with your family and raise your children, so it's not putting down anyone who wants to get a great education and have a career."
In a related development, Variety caught up with Chiefs president Mark Donovan the following week to request his thoughts on the matter.
He said:
“One of the things we preach is respect. So I respect Harrison’s views. I don’t necessarily agree with him. He has to respect that I don’t necessarily agree with him, and we’ve got to communicate that. And that was one of the things we talked about and he was very supportive of that.”
He continued:
“(Respect) is utilized in almost every situation that we deal with in a positive way. Make a decision based on respect. We’ve had issues in the past in the locker room with guys... You can believe those things, which may be different in some ways, but you’re going to play together and respect each other.”
Butker has also since expanded his political portfolio by starting a political action committee and endorsing Sen. Josh Hawley.
