Colin Cowherd claims Miami dark horses in 2023 Tom Brady sweepstakes: “Nobody is talking about the Dolphins”

Since it seems pretty unlikely that Tom Brady will finally retire after this season, the biggest question is where he will play, rather than if he will. The quarterback has languished in Tampa Bay this year after winning the Super Bowl and then going 12-5 in his first two seasons.

There's talk of a reunion with the New England Patriots. Many expect him to consider a homecoming with the San Francisco 49ers. Colin Cowherd believes there's one team everyone is forgetting about.

Tom Brady...back to the AFC?

"Nobody is talking about the Miami Dolphins." — @ColinCowherd https://t.co/gBZ6JEBa12

On the Herd with Colin Cowherd, the host said:

"Nobody is talking about the Miami Dolphins. Folks, fastest wide receiver tandem maybe in league history. Jaylen Waddle's a star. Tyreek Hill's maybe a bigger star. Capable running backs. Mike Gesicki is an excellent young tight end."

He continued:

"Hall of Fame level left tackle. A brilliant offensive coach that runs the same systems Kyle Shanahan does, which is not quarterback-dependant... It is a perfect system for Brady."

He also added:

"By the way, the Dolphins already had to give up a pick for tampering, might as well get something out of it. They were interested before in Brady. He stays in the state... Miami feels really, really strong."

The Dolphins seem committed to Tua Tagovailoa, but two things could happen.

He could easily be traded as he's proven to be a capable quarterback. However, he could be forced to make a hard medical decision about his future after his third concussion that the Dolphins have missed.

If Brady wants to go to Miami, which he likely did the last time he was a free agent, then there are ways to get around the Tagovailoa situation.

Odds for Tom Brady's next team

  • New England Patriots +250
  • San Francisco 49ers +350
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +500
  • Retirement +750
  • Las Vegas Raiders +1200
  • Miami Dolphins +2000
  • Rest of the NFL +1250

Oddsmakers even believe retirement is more likely than Brady heading to Miami. Could Cowherd be ahead of the curve?
