Colin Cowherd trashes reports of Tom Brady's unretirement leading to divorce from Gisele Bundchen

Tom Brady's divorce is now a boulder in motion, but the timeline of when things went sour between the quarterback and Gisele Bundchen is largely unconfirmed. Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, show host Colin Cowherd claimed the seeds of the divorce were planted much earlier in the season.

The analyst referred to the personal fortunes of the two individuals and stated his belief that an issue like a divorce cannot crop up all of a sudden.

"Brady for the last year has been going through a public divorce. Don't think this thing got ugly two months ago. When you have a net worth of $500 million and she has a net worth of $600 million there. But they have been dealing with this divorce for a year. For a year. Okay. These things don't happen overnight. He's been dealing with that."

The show host was referencing the 11-day training camp absence the quarterback had taken in August.

At the start of the year, Tom Brady's life was the same as it had been for years, aside from playing for a different team. However, this November, his life has flipped on its head professionally and at home. At home, the quarterback is now without a wife and is a single father.

Earlier this year, Brady had danced with retirement but ultimately caved after six weeks, returning to the Buccaneers as the oldest player in football.

The quarterback also decided to enter into a decade-long agreement with FOX to call games for the network following his retirement. Now, without his wife around, the quarterback has even more time to dedicate to the game.

Then, rumors started appearing on the media about a fallout between the NFL superstar and his wife. Apparently, the two had a major fight and Bundchen left their home.

Tom Brady's absence from the training camp further fuelled speculation, as did his cryptic comments about events in his life. Since there was no refutation of the stories from either party about their alleged marital discord, it became clear that things aren't right. Eventually, their divorce confirmed what many had known for a long time.

Will TB12 continue to play in 2023 or is his current 4-5 team the last he will lead in his playing career? Many would argue that the next few weeks could determine if he suits up again next season and under what context he will be playing, if he decides to continue at all.
