College football analyst names the high-profile QB he expects to drop furthest in 2023 NFL Draft class

The 2023 NFL Draft is less than a month away, and coverage is ramping up around the country. The four highest-profile quarterbacks in the country are arguably CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson. Of the four quarterbacks, one has been predicted to drop further than the others.

Which quarterback will be selected first in the 2023 NFL Draft?

Speaking on the Herd with Colin Cowherd, college football analyst Joel Klatt named Will Levis as the one to lower expectations on. Here's how he put it:

"I think it's one of the main reasons why he has suffered from a lack of consistency in his career. That's what I see with Levis. So that's the one that worries me the most. If I was one of those teams in the top five or 6-10 and I'm looking at a quarterback and all of a sudden it's Levis. I think that I would pass at that point in the top ten."

Anthony Richardson is getting compared to Lamar Jackson. CJ Stroud is getting comparisons to Justin Herbert, and Bryce Young is getting comparisons to Patrick Mahomes. But beyond that, all three quarterbacks has stunning levels of production in one area or another.

Put simply, Levi's numbers failed to match up to any of the quarterbacks. In his four years in college, he threw for 46 touchdowns and 25 interceptions. In his final two seasons, he threw for 43 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

His throwing numbers match up best against Anthony Richardson, who threw for 24 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 22 games of action.

Rank the possible #Colts QB decisions for the offseason.

I'll start

1. Draft CJ Stroud
2. Draft Anthony Richardson
3. Draft Bryce Young
4. Sign Lamar Jackson (send 2 firsts)
5. Draft Will Levis
6. Start Garnder Minshew Draft a QB in 2024
7. Draft Hendon Hooker
8. Draft… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

However, Richardson put together 1,000 yards on the ground in his final two seasons, offering something unique that Levis simply couldn't compete with. Of course, it only takes one of 32 opinions to differ to create a different result in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Idk I’m just not really concerned about Anthony Richardson’s completion percentage 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ https://t.co/rmEZz4sYqM

Could any of the top four quarterback prospects slip well behind the others?
