Cops make decision on Eagles icon Jason Kelce's viral phone smash following fan's homophobic shot at Travis Kelce

Jason Kelce has worked hard to put on an amicable if loud persona. However, a confrontation with a fan threatened to destabilize his image. On Nov. 2, Jason was approached by a fan who talked trash about Travis Kelce. In response, Jason smashed the fan's phone in an interaction that was recorded and posted on social media.

According to TMZ, an investigation into the incident was called off as the fan whose phone was smashed could not be identified, and no one came forward to move the investigation along.

The fan that had provoked the dustup by insulting Jason Kelce's brother, Travis Kelce, saying:

"Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f***** for dating Taylor Swift?" the fan said.

That was all it took for Jason Kelce to smash the phone.

The former Eagles center later apologized for the incident on ESPN and said he would work to be better behaved in the future.

"I'm not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate and I just don't think that's a productive thing," he said.

Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, just wrapped up her reportedly multi-billion-grossing Eras Tour, per the New York Times via the Economic Times.

Jason Kelce's phone-smashing controversy had not grown its first gray hair, but the former center finds himself in hot water once again. While not physical in nature, his shot fired at Dallas might have sparked an even bigger controversy.

While speaking on ESPN's Monday Night Football Telecast, Kelce called the city the "butthole and armpit of America."

With seas of Cowboys fans watching at home, the comments sparked blowback across the country. However, even in the room where Kelce uttered the statement, his surrounding cohosts took umbrage, immediately claiming that Kelce went too far.

The Cowboys went on to lose to the Cincinnati Bengals in AT&T Stadium not long after Kelce made his opinion known.
