Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb makes feelings clear on NFL officials targeting him for fines

Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb is again in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time, the league has fined him for wearing the green Nike Air Zoom Pro Vapor cleats while playing against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday Night Football.

The NFL WR was asked to swap his green-and-grey cleats for all-white ones at halftime, which made him feel unfairly singled out.

“I got fined a lot this year, bro. I’m like a target,” Lamb said, per The Dallas Morning News. “I do feel like I am dressing the same way as other guys, not saying they should get fined too, I just feel like I should not get fined either.”

NFL has strict uniform policies and failure to adhere to those leads to fines, including offenses such as untucked jerseys, low socks and unconventional cleats. CeeDee Lamb has been slapped with these previously.

Earlier, on the Thanksgiving Day game against the New York Giants, Lab was fined for wearing his neon green “Grinch” Kobe 6 cleats even though similar footwear was worn by other players.

Speaking about his relentless penalties despite pre-game efforts to adhere to league standards, the Cowboys star added:

“They not feeling me at all. I don’t know what I did or what I done. I apologize.”

As per the rulebook:

“A player may wear shoes that are black, white, or any Constitutional team color, or any combination of black, white, and a Constitutional team color.”

Lamb alone has not been penalized for violating the NFL's uniform.

While the Philadelphia Eagles won over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts' cleat choice cost him a hefty fine from the NFL. The league docked Hurts $5,628 for violating uniform and equipment regulations.

As reported by NFL Network reporter, Tom Pelissero, Hurts wore cleats in a color that did not align with the Eagles’ official “Constitutional team colors.”
