Cowboys DB Jourdan Lewis claps back at Amon-Ra St. Brown's viral trash-talk comments
Amon-Ra St. Brown went viral for his comments on Dallas Cowboys defensive back Jourdan Lewis. The Detroit Lions wide receiver said he plays hard but doesn't talk trash unless other players initiate it first. St. Brown said that Lewis had said things that he'd never heard about, so he had to up the trash-talking game.
Lewis caught wind of the clip from St. Brown and shared it on his Instagram story, adding that he only talks trash like that for St. Brown and his Lions teammate, Jameson Williams. He added a smiling emoji for good measure.
After that, he expounded on what he meant, saying in another Instagram story:
"I am passionate about my craft and I don't want to be friends with everyone, especially not a Detroit Lion from Detroit."
The Lions and Cowboys do not play each other in the 2024–2025 NFL regular season. Since they are two of the NFC's heavyweights, there is a chance they meet in the postseason. If so, it would be a must-see matchup given the growing rivalry between Lewis and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
What did Amon-Ra St. Brown say about Jourdan Lewis?
Amon-Ra St. Brown is a regular on podcasts, both his own and others. The Detroit Lions wide receiver called out Dallas Cowboys DB Jourdan Lewis for trash-talking in a game. The trash talk was unlike anything St. Brown had heard.
"Jourdan Lewis, I think is his name, from the Dallas Cowboys. I don't talk much, unless someone's going to talk to me. I block hard, I do all that, but he was talking crazy. Some s**t I've never heard before. I'm like, 'Hold on, I'm about to have to go hard on this n***a.' He was talking crazy out of pocket," St. Brown said.
It got to the point that St. Brown said his Lions teammates heard it and he had to tune it out and try to make plays. He added that he's trying to win the game and isn't worried about Lewis. But at that point, St. Brown wanted the chance to hit back if it came.
