Cowboys DE Micah Parsons' brother voices complaint about CeeDee Lamb-Dak Prescott connection

Dak Prescott's bond with CeeDee Lamb is once again being discussed.

Although the Dallas Cowboys won 26-24 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16, they have been officially eliminated from the playoffs. Amid this, team's DE Micah Parsons' brother, Terrence Parsons Jr. took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice concerns about QB Dak Prescott’s rapport with WR CeeDee Lamb.

“I wish Dak trusted Ceedee more [for real] like, just give it to him. Cooper Rush understands that. Romo —he understood that sh*t too, lol. Ceedee should be [a] 140-catch guy; he’s that dynamic. You see the shit?,” Terrence posted.

In the Dallas Cowboys' offense, the tension boiled over in the Week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After an ill-timed interception near the goal line, CeeDee Lamb appeared seemingly frustrated on the field.

While the exact words exchanged between Lamb and Prescott are not clear, as per Nicola Hickling, the founder of LipReader, it seemed, the NFL WR said, “Some ball control, come on.”

Five days later, Lamb finally broke the silence about the much-discussed sideline moment with Prescott.

“Jump balls, Four. Jump balls. I got you,” the WR said by calling the veteran QB by his jersey number.

As reported by NBC Sports, Dak Prescott also downplayed the existence of any rift with CeeDee Lamb.

Dak Prescott called the online frenzy "comical"

Post Week 5 game against the Steelers, Dak Prescott via Jon Machota of The Athletic reaffirmed his close bond with CeeDee Lamb, saying:

“You guys can’t read lips to save your lives. That was honestly comical. To see social media after the game or whatever and to say CeeDee had words for me, I’m like, ‘When?’ I think CeeDee said it best: That guy is my brother. We hold each other to a very high standard."

He added:

"I just made a split [second] dumb decision. It’s unfortunate that when you have the ball in your hand every play you can’t make those. Just another example of you guys trying to make nothing into something.”

Dak Prescott was eager to replicate last season's success when Lamb torched the Detroit Lions with 227 yards and a touchdown in Week 17.

"I would like to get back in a groove like that with him," Prescott explained. "What a great opportunity we have to try to get that connection going once again. It’s a defense we’re familiar with."

He continued:

"You see the numbers that he was able to produce...It would be great to get in a rhythm like that again. And when you’re in a rhythm like that, with an elite receiver, it’s a rare feeling.”

Coming to the Cowboys' failure to punch the ticket to the playoffs, the team will not see postseason action for the first time since 2020. This is a disappointing regression for head coach Mike McCarthy, who led the Cowboys to three consecutive 12-5 seasons and two division titles in 2021 and 2023. Moreover, Dallas has not been eliminated this early in a season since 2010.

As the Cowboys now turn their focus to the 2025 schedule and upcoming draft, the success of the team's offense next year certainly depends on the chemistry between Prescott and Lamb.
