Cowboys LB Marist Liufau shares courtside kiss with WNBA rookie Sonia Citron at Mystics-Sun game

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Marist Liufau shared a romantic moment with his girlfriend, Sonia Citron, who's playing her rookie season with the Washington Mystics. Citron was the first-round pick in the 2025 WNBA draft.

In Sunday's game between the Mystics and Connecticut Sun, Liufau was courtside at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C., to cheer for his lady love. The couple, sharing a kiss after the Mystics won 104-67, posed for the cameras together.

B/R W Sports shared pictures of the couple on Instagram with a caption that read:

"Marist Liufau, Sonia Citron’s boyfriend, pulled up for Mystics vs. Sun ❤️ Marist plays for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Power Couple."

Liufau and Citron have been vocal about their relationship and have been dating for a while.

In March, Marist, on an episode of "Wake Up The Echoes," talked about his girlfriend:

"What you see with Sonia on the court — like how her demeanor and how she handles herself ... that's exactly who she is off the court, which, for me, did not ... it's two opposites, so I guess taking that from her because her basketball ...
"It's just like you miss a shot you got to go back and play defense. Just taking that aspect of her game, being able to move on from something is something that I admire from her."

In Sunday's WNBA game against the Sun, Sonia Citron recorded 11 points, four assists and three rebounds. On one move, as she put the ball in the basket, her boyfriend, Marist Liufau, sitting on the side of the court, stood up and clapped.

On Monday, Liufau shared a video of cheering for his girlfriend on Instagram, with a red heart and fire emoji in the caption.

Meanwhile, Liufau himself is preparing for his upcoming NFL season with the Cowboys. He was the third-round, 87th pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
