Cowboys safety picks Ceedee Lamb and Dak Prescott to get paid first leaving star rusher in the shadows: "Micah got to wait"

Cowboys safety Malik hooker has said that Micah Parsons should wait his turn for a new contract in Dallas after CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott have got their deals, in that order.

He said that the star defender is a great player but has to reach a higher level before looking at signing on the dotted line. On the All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson podcast, he said:

"Micah still has a lot to prove, he's a fantastic player, but I feel like Micah still has a surface that he doesn't even know that he can scratch as far as what he's doing. So I would say Micah is last just for that reasoning. I'll probably say Zack Martin would be after Micah for the simple fact of like Zack, you know what he's done in the league, and you know he is who he is."

Malik Hooker added that it doesn't mean that he thinks Micah Parsons shouldn't get a deal. But he thinks that the defensive star has to wait his turn.

He said that the first person to get it should be CeeDee Lamb followed by Dak Prescott and Zack Martin, before they move on to the pass rusher. He continued:

"Like you know he's gonna be there. I would probably say CeeDee first let me just go there, I'll probably say CeeDee. I got high praise for Dak too, but I say, yeah I say CeeDee, I’ll put probably Dak second, I’ll put Zack, and then Micah. Micah got to wait man, he’s still young dawg."

Malik Hooker's comments about Micah Parsons go beyond CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott contract

Malik Hooker has created quite a stir with this podcast appearance, as he has also reportedly taken aim at Micah Parsons, which goes beyond just telling him to wait for some time before CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott's contracts are sorted out. He also went after the defender's podcast, saying:

“Are you caring about the crowd that's watching your podcast, or caring about the success of our team & the Super Bowl we're trying to reach”

The Dallas Cowboys should be worried that two members of their defense seem to be openly feuding after the pass rusher also responded to these comments before deleting them.

The fallout from Malik Hooker's comments may take some time to subside, which could be a distraction for the Cowboys before they begin their training camp.
