Cowboys' Trevon Diggs and NFL reporter bury the hatchet with cans of "Dee's Nuts"

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs lost his calm with reporters after the Cowboys' 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. In a video that went viral, Diggs was speaking to a reporter named Mike Leslie of WFAA who kept prying him about the defeat.

But during the interview, Trevon Diggs, already frustrated with the second straight loss, went off on the reporter and told him that he did not know anything about football and that he couldn't do what he was doing on the gridiron, game after game.

"You don't know football. You can't do nothing that I do. You can't go out there and do nothing. Stay in your lane buddy. Stop playing me, bro," he said.

Apparently, the hostilities had started way back when the reporter put out a tweet criticizing his performance during the Niners' game.

The reporter tried to defuse the situation and invited Diggs to calmly talk about the tweet and his criticism, but he lashed out:

"Talk about deez nuts," Diggs responded.

However, the Cowboys shared a video on Wednesday that showed that things are now good between the player and the reporter. In the video, Diggs can be seen taking out two canisters of "Dee's Nuts" and giving one to Leslie.

The two then shook hands and lightly embraced each other. The reporter joked that some fans had canisters of "Dee's Nuts" sent over to the station he was from after the video went viral.

Diggs said that he was sorry for the outburst, while the journalist apologized for misreading the play and said that he appreciated Diggs saying sorry to him.

In another post by Mike Leslie, he said that Diggs explained to him that what he had taken a shot at as "jogging" was actually him slow-playing a potential cutback from Niners TE George Kittle.

Trevon Diggs injury update

Trevon Diggs was a no-show at practice on Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury. However, the CB himself later assuaged all fears while speaking to reporters and said that he was just experiencing some tightness in his calf.

"It was a little sore coming out of the game. Probably one of the plays I got hit or something. I’m getting treatment and working through it," Diggs said.

It appears Trevon Diggs' injury is not serious and in all likelihood, he will be on the gridiron in the Cowboys' game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
