“Dak can't get outplayed by a second-year player” - Emmanuel Acho rips Cowboys QB Dak Prescott for losing to Trevor Lawrence-led Jaguars
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys were handed a shocking defeat by the emerging Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. The Cowboys gave away a 27-10 lead to lose 34-40, and their elite defense failed to contain the Jaguars.
Prescott once again threw multiple interceptions, a growing concern for him this season. He was outplayed by Jags QB Trevor Lawrence, and former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho didn't hold back any punches.
After Dak Prescott's and the Cowboys' loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Acho said:
"At the end of the day Cowboys are America's team so I'm talking about, Dak can't get outplayed by a second-year player."
He added:
"$160 million quarterback can't get outplayed by a dude who's in his, I don't know, maybe it's 35th or so... can't happen that Prescott cannot throw that pick."
The Dallas Cowboys will be the favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles with Jalen Hurts likely to miss the game in Week 16.
Meanwhile, Trevor Lawrence has been playing exceptionally well over the past few weeks, and his performance against the Cowboys was a sight to behold. The Jaguars fans will be excited about their future while Cowboys fans are worried about their franchise quarterback.
The Dallas Cowboys are unlikely to win the NFC East now, but they've secured their spot in the playoffs after the New York Giants defeated the Commanders later that night.
They still have to face the Eagles, and Prescott has an opportunity to redeem himself.
Dak Prescott is under a lot of pressure
The quarterback was injured in the first game of the season and Cooper Rush stepped in for him to keep the Cowboys' season afloat. Since Prescott's return from injury, the team's offense has been electric, but the turnovers have also increased.
Prescott has a passer rating of 93.8 for 2,103 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in nine games this season.
Both Prescott and the Cowboys need to limit their turnovers or else the story will be similar to last season. They can't reach the Super Bowl if they continue to make mistakes like these, as both the 49ers and the Eagles are going to exploit them in the playoffs.
