Dak Prescott issues rallying cry after signing blockbuster $240,000,000 contract to become highest-paid NFL quarterback
Dak Prescott is a rich, rich man. So rich that he is the NFL's highest-paid quarterback after signing a $240 million contract extension.
Prescott's $60 million yearly salary in new money means he has the richest contract by that metric in league history. That number surpasses Trevor Lawrence, Joe Burrow and Jordan Love's $55 million-a-year deals.

Prescott sent Cowboys insider a text message after signing the deal, reportedly saying:
"It's time to go win."
In the span of a week, the Cowboys have now splashed out $376 million to make sure both Prescott and CeeDee Lamb stay with the franchise in the long term. Cowboys fans were sweating on Prescott's future heading into Week 1. But with Jerry Jones having put a deal on the table to make him the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, things are rosy once again in Jerry World.
What NFL's highest-paid quarterbacks list looks like after Dak Prescott's contract extension
Given Prescott's contract extension, he is now comfortably at the top of the list of the highest-paid players in the NFL.
Prescott is followed by the likes of Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence and Jordan Love ($55 million a year each), Jared Goff ($53 million a year), Justin Herbert ($52.5 million) and Lamar Jackson ($51 million).
It's important to note that Prescott is coming off the most successful season of his NFL career, stats-wise. He threw for 4,516 yards with 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions last year and was an MVP candidate all season long. He eventually earned an NFL All-Pro Second Team selection and made it to the Pro Bowl. He also finished second in AP NFL MVP voting behing eventual winner Lamar Jackson.
