Dak Prescott's fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos shares heartwarming father-daughter moment ahead of QB's surgery

Dak Prescott underwent season-ending surgery on his hamstring in New York on Wednesday - the second time in his career that an injury will prevent him from making it all the way to the final week. So before he lay inside the operating room for hours on end, he decided to hold his daughter MJ Rose one last time

Sarah Jane Ramos, the Dallas Cowboys QB's fiancee, shared a picture of Prescott holding up their daughter in an Instagram Story:

How Dak Prescott's golf-themed proposal to Sarah Jane Ramos came to be

Amidst all the struggle enveloping the Cowboys, Dak Prescott celebrated a personal milestone during the bye week in the third week of October: he and Sarah Jane Ramos became engaged.

He made the announcement via a golf-themed photoshoot, images from which can be seen below:

And he was rather secretive about it, having intially planned to ask the question during the holiday season, only to change his mind and do it at a golf course - complete with ring inside a golf ball. He told the press late last month:

"Set it up with a couple friends. She had no idea. She's a big golfer, thought we were going golfing. Told her we had a lifetime to golf. We'll golf another day."

The proposal also took a rather heavy mental toll on Prescott - he even equated it to playing a game:

"You're ready. You're excited about it, but you want everything to go really, really well. I just kept repeating what I was going to say because I heard everybody else and their proposals, 'Man, I blacked out. I've done this and I don't even know what I said.' So for me it was to keep it short and sweet."

And as he asked the question, he could only think of his late mother Peggy:

"Getting engaged obviously is a family thing. It's one thing women grow up thinking about. It was awesome to have her parents come up a little bit after and they brought M.J. to see us. But just in reflection how proud my mom would be of the family that I'm starting, the woman that I've got. She's got some similarities to how tough she is as my mom."

Neither party so far has announced a wedding date.
