Dan Snyder news: Fresh report reveals Commanders owner’s feelings towards Jeff Bezos’ possible bid

There has been speculation over the last few months that Washington Commanders team owner Dan Snyder doesn't want Jeff Bezos to buy the team. Rumors that Snyder was still upset over the Bezos' owned Washington Post's coverage of the team's scandal would prevent a possible sale.

Now, as it appears that a possible sale of the team is imminent, Bezos may still be in the running for the team after all. According to FOX Business journalist, Charles Gasparino, Snyder isn't opposed to Bezos putting in a bid.

"People close to @Commanders owner Dan Snyder say he isn’t opposed to @JeffBezos placing a bid in for team and they have communicated that to Bezos’s people @FoxBusiness has learned from people w direct knowledge. These people say Snyder’s animus to Bezos over coverage."

Charles Gasparino continued by saying that Bezos' team has been told that Snyder will allow him to place a bid for the team when the time comes.

Gasparino even added that the coverage of the story has been way overblown. And that a sale of the Washington Commanders is likely to happen after the NFL's owners meetings next week.

"Issues has been overblown. Bezos has yet to place a bid for the team and the sale if it happens will likely occur after next weeks owners meeting, I am told. Also overblown these people say: @NFL pressure on Snyder to sell. It’s his decision for a variety of reasons."

It's also apparently reported that rumors that the NFL wants Dan Snyder to sell the team have also gone out of proportion. And, that it's completely Snyder's decision to sell the team and that he has a few different reasons to do so.

How much are the Washington Commanders worth?

It's now all but certain that the Washington Commanders will be under new ownership at the start of the 2023 NFL season. Current team owner Dan Snyder and his wife Tanya recently cleaned out their offices at the team facility. That move came just months after they hired Bank of America Securities to handle a possible transaction of the team.

Well @Commanders fans could this be our new ownership group??? A combined net worth of $11.4 Billion and Josh Harris already with ownership experience of a sports franchise. @TheHogSty https://t.co/Tat6Jj99nx

While it's still unknown who will become the new owner of the team, it is known that that it will be a hefty price tag. Snyder purchased the team for $800 million in May 1999.

The Commanders are now said to be worth $5.6 billion but the new owner(s) could pay upward of $6 billion to become the winning bid.
