Darius Slay's wife Jennifer reacts to CB's "insane" "no diddy" comment during Eagles press conference
Darius Slay is preparing to become a veteran mentor as he enters his fifth season as a Philadelphia Eagle. On Wednesday, he had this to say about rookie Quinyon Mitchell's progression as a pro:
"I'm proud of him. He's doing a great job. He's taking a lot in, no diddy. And he just meshes in right now."
That elicited much laughter from many, including his wife Jennifer (nee Williams), who said:
'“No diddy” at a press conference is insane (melting and cry-laughing emojis)'
"No Diddy" is a new slang that has gained popularity online. Per Daily Dot, it is replacing the phrase "no homo," which people say to signify there is no implied homosexuality in their actions or statements. The phrase is in reference to hip-hop star Sean "Diddy" Combs, who has been the subject of rumors stemming from a lawsuit by producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones.
The Philadelphia rapper Quilly has been widely credited for coining the term "No Diddy."
Who is Darius Slay's wife Jennifer?
Jennifer Williams was born on April 8, 1994 in Clinton, Oklahoma. She attended her birthplace's high school, then remained in-state to enroll at Southwestern Oklahoma State, where she played basketball before being forced to retire from the sport by an early pregnancy.
In 2015, she first met Darius Slay via Instagram. Soon, their relationship spread outside the Internet. After around two years of dating, they were married on June 17, 2017.
The couple has a daughter, Desirae, who was born that same year, and a son, Desmond, born four years later. He was born just three days before the Eagles visited the Carolina Panthers (Slay had two interceptions in that game). The cornerback said of his chaotic week:
“I told (safeties Rodney McLeod and Anthony Harris) and the rest of the defensive backs that I needed everyone today. I prepared as much as I could. I leaned on them, and we covered each other. I appreciate them for having my back out there and put me in the position to make the plays that I made.”
Darius Slay also has two sons, Darion and Demetrius, from a previous relationship. He also has a stepson, Trent, from Jennifer's previous relationship.
