Darius Slayton Giants contract: How much will former Auburn WR earn in 2023?

The New York Giants' busy offseason continued on Thursday with the re-signing of wide receiver Darius Slayton.

Per Mike Garafolo, the Giants have secured Slayton for another two seasons under contract.

Slayton was the Giants' fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft as he was selected with pick 171. Last season, he recorded 46 receptions for 724 yards and two touchdowns. In his four seasons in the NFL, he has caught 170 passes for 2,554 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.

You can count out an Odell Beckham Jr. reunion with the New York Giants. Per Jordan Raanan, the Giants' reporter for NFL Nation, the Giants will now be out of the running for the free-agent wide receiver after signing Darius Slayton and Parris Campbell.

This now solidifies that the Giants will not be players for Odell Beckham Jr. Put that dream to rest. He is/was out of their price range.

The Giants were one of many teams linked to OBJ this offseason, and there was a chance at the former Giant signing back with New York.

They then franchise-tagged running back Saquon Barkley for the 2023 season.

Their biggest move was trading for Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller. They sent the Raiders a third-round pick in return. They added wide receiver Parris Campbell from the Colts and re-signed a bunch of other key players.

The Giants have been busy and aggressive early on in free agency, and hope to get further in the playoffs next season.
