Davante Adams expresses perplexity over Ja Morant's gun incident - "It's Confusing”
Las Vegas Raiders star receiver Davante Adams recently made an appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast. Brandon Marshall, who was the host of the podcast, asked Adams about Ja Morant's situation.
Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies point guard was recently spotted holding another gun on an Instagram live video. Morant received a lot of backlash since he was suspended a while ago as well for flashing a gun in a strip club.
Adams was confused with Morant's situation as he doesn't know how the same thing could happen a second time. Here's what he said on the I Am Athlete podcast:
"I mean, it's a tricky one man. It's confusing really for me because things happen and you make mistakes in the moment you know, you never know if alcohol is involved sometimes with the in that a mess up your thought process and or your decision making should I say but then when you see when something like that happens a second time it's like that's the part that's confusing."
"It's like if you get caught slipping everybody gets caught slipping in some sort of way like whether it's like you know you was digging in your nose and I saw you or you know he's on video with his friends and somebody just hoping to get them but when you aware, that's the part that confuses me."
Ja Morant has issued another apology for his actions, and he promises to become a better version of himself. Similar to Adams, the majority of athletes across all sports are advising Morant to take care of his actions, as he is a superstar in the NBA, who already has put himself in place to earn generational wealth.
Davante Adams will play with a new quarterback next season
Davante Adams came to the Las Vegas Raiders to play alongside Derek Carr. However, that is no longer the case as Carr is now the quarterback of the New Orleans Saints.
Jimmy Garoppolo is now the new quarterback for the Raiders, and it will be interesting to see how Adams will play alongside him. The former Packers receiver is excited to play with Garoppolo, and hopefully, they will form an elite duo next season.
The Raiders missed the playoffs last season, and now head coach Josh McDaniels will be under pressure to provide results for the franchise.
