Davante Adams rips Eagles, Patriots, Bills, Commanders fanbase - "They are miserable"

Davante Adams is both one of the NFL's most prolific wide receivers as well as one of its most outspoken players. This was evidenced by his helmet-smashing fit during the Las Vegas Raiders' loss at the Detroit Lions last season.

Speaking of the Lions, he faced off against their own star wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown on Monday's episode of Hot Ones Versus. In it, he had some choice words against the fanbases of four teams that he deemed disrespectful (8:05 to begin):

"Philly, the Patriots, and then probably the Bills, all the snowballs and all of that during the game, like, that's just a lack of respect for another man. You paid to come to my game, and you're more focused on hitting me with a snowball?
"And then you got the Washington (Commanders). I mean they're obviously just miserable 'cause the stadium is horrible."

Davante Adams was unhappy with Raiders ditching former teammate Derek Carr

Back in 2022, Davante Adams demanded a trade after receiving the franchise tag. And he got it - to the Raiders, where he reunited with his fellow former Fresno State Bulldog Derek Carr.

Even though the two (re)formed a potent combination to the tune of a league-high 14 touchdowns, the team struggled. They regressed from a surprise Wild Card appearance the previous season to 6-11.

As the end of the season loomed, head coach Josh McDaniels benched Carr for the last few games. Shortly after Super Bowl LVII, he was released by general manager Dave Ziegler.

Adams did not take those decisions well, as he revealed to Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay:

"I grew up a Raiders fan, being from the Bay, my family being Raiders fans. So in a sense, it was written. But at the same time, I don't know if I would have made the move had it not been him under center when I got there.
"When they got rid of him, I was not happy about that at all. I'm like, 'This ain't the first, and it definitely won't be the last.'"

Carr subsequently joined the New Orleans Saints on a monstrous four-year, $150-million contract. Adams, meanwhile, spent 2023 with Jimmy Garoppolo, then Aidan O'Connell. He had 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.
