"Sneaky racist": Dave Portnoy rips Travis Kelce's outfit at Chiefs' season-opener vs Ravens
Travis Kelce often makes headlines for his outfits, whether it's a date night with Taylor Swift or a Chiefs game day. While some are fans of Kelce's choices, the tight end's fashion statements don't always land well with many. Dave Portnoy, for one, was critical of Kelce's fashion sense recently.
In the last episode of his BFF podcast, Portnoy took a dig at Kelce's outfit at Kansas City Chiefs' season-opener game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Portnoy said that the tight end looked like a movie character. Before talking about his outfit for the game, Portnoy had ripped Kelce for his choice of clothes at the US Open.
"I didn't like any of the style. I love Taylor. I didn't love this fit, I don't know why. Travis' got crazy style. He looked like he was at October Fest at the US Open," Portnoy said. (16:05).
Moving forward in the podcast, Portnoy compared Kelce with a cop character from a movie, who looked like a racist. Talking about the same, he said:
"He looked like he was in a cop movie playing a cop is what it kind of looked like. That's how. Like the head detective or something who is like a sneaky racist. That's what he looked like."
Not just Dave Portnoy, but Travis Kelce's elder brother Jason Kelce also wasn't impressed with his outfit choice at the US Open. In fact, the former Eagles star made fun of him in the latest episode of the Kelce brothers' podcast.
Jason Kelce pokes fun at Travis Kelce's US Open outfit
Travis Kelce attended the US Open with Taylor Swift on Sunday. For the event, the Chiefs tight end opted for a cozy summer outfit, which didn't land well with his brother Jason Kelce. In the last episode of the New Heights podcast, the retired Eagles center poked fun at the tight end's outfit.
"I know what’s going on right now. I know exactly why you’re back into the hoopers fit. Because everybody saw what you were wearing at the US Open and that you went complete opposite hoopers fit," Jason said.
"What do you want me to do? It was tennis," Travis said in his justification.
Jason concluded this take by adding:
"You went Country Club, so you got to recorrect your brand image. You got to go back to your roots."
Before the US Open, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift enjoyed a private dinner date with pals Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany.
