DeAndre Hopkins to Chiefs? Kay Adams delivers verdict on Patrick Mahomes' potential new teammate
Arizona Cardinals star wideout DeAndre Hopkins is expected to be traded from the team any day soon. Hopkins has been a candidate to be traded for most of the off-season and the league-wide expectation is that he will be dealt in the coming days.
As trade talks have been heating up, one of the five teams linked to Hopkins is the Kansas City Chiefs.
Talk show host Kay Adams spoke about how big it would be for the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes to acquire a talent like Hopkins. She thinks joining Mahomes would be insane.
Adams said:
"If we're talking about DeAndre Hopkins here, one of the great talents of this generation, so to see him what he can do is insane to see him with a Patrick Mahomes while he's still in the prime window of his career."
"I looked at his Instagram I'm very curious about Hopkins he's constantly working out he's constantly trying to better himself he's a bit of a solo act you know is different of a cat in the in the world of this league, but he puts in his time he put in his time with the Texans and the Cardinals. I'd love him to go nowhere but Kansas City."
DeAndre Hopkins' trade market is headlined by the Buffalo Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the five teams currently interested in acquiring Hopkins. Per NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Hopkins' trade market is headlined by the Buffalo Bills.
Last night, Hopkins could have hinted at potentially joining the Bills on his Instagram story.
He posted lyrics from Bob Marley's famous song, "Buffalo Solider," on his Instagram story.
Here are the lyrics that were mentioned in Hopkins' story:
"Said he was a Buffalo Solider Dreadlock Rasta Buffalo."
Everything as of right now is speculation and rumors, but one can certainly think that the Bills are at the top of the list.
If Buffalo were to acquire Hopkins, it would make their offense even scarier. Hopkins and Stefon Diggs could easily become one of the best WR duos in the NFL. Talks and progress of a Hopkins trade have been gaining traction and a trade should happen soon.
Who do you think is the best fit for DeAndre Hopkins in 2023?
