Derek Carr's wife Heather and daughter cheer on Saints QB in 269-yard, 2-TD victory
Heather Carr, wife of New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr, took to IG on Nov 10 as she uploaded a picture with her daughter while cheering on Carr ahead of Sunday's Week 10 contest against the Atlanta Falcons.
The picture was taken at Caesars Superdome. The Saints were at the bottom of the division standings with just two victories while the Falcons had six wins heading into the game.
Carr pulls out his best against the Falcons
Carr’s game against the Falcons last Sunday was completely different from his previous encounters with the team. Carr managed 269 yards and two passing touchdowns in a 23-20 win with a 126.9 passer rating.
It had not been an easy journey for Carr against the Falcons prior to Sunday's contest. He had managed to secure only one win in five games with a career passer rating of 98.3. There have been past matches where he was poor in performance, and this season’s first games against the Ben, Atlanta saw him finish without a TD pass.
Carr was different in Week 10. He appeared well composed, connected well with his receivers, and made the Saints offense look quite different from what fans have observed in previous games.
It was not just a good performance, but also a big win in a rivalry that had so far seen Carr come out second best more often than not.
Derek and Heather Carr's relationship
Derek and Heather met while she was working as a waitress during at Fresno State. Heather was charmed by Derek’s confidence, and they quickly hit it off, with Derek feeling he’d met “the one” early on.
The couple married in June 2012 and has since welcomed four children.
