Deshaun Watson had fresh brush with Ohio law after highway patrol busted Browns QB for speeding

Deshaun Watson is yet to play a down for the Cleveland Browns and finds himself in the news once again. According to TMZ Sports, the Browns quarterback was caught going 97 miles an hour in a 70 zone. On June 11, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said it caught the former Houston Texans star speeding in the city of Sandusky.

The incident happened less than three months after the Texans traded him to the Browns in a blockbuster trade.

Video footage from a police body cam shows an officer pulling over the star quarterback, asking him if he had any idea how fast he was going. The quarterback responded that he had been traveling from Detroit. Overall, the whole interaction with the cop was friendly.

After a couple of minutes, Watson was issued a ticket and allowed to leave. The case was closed on July 6. Per court records, the 27-year-old paid a $185 fine.

So far, the former Clemson star has yet to see the field for the Browns. The quarterback is currently serving an 11-game suspension handed down by the league. The quarterback allegedly had sexually inappropriate interactions with female masseuses during several massage therapy appointments during his time with the Texans. The quarterback denied wrongdoing in any of the cases.

For those waiting to see the three-time Pro Bowler, he'll be eligible to play in Week 13 this season. The Browns' opponent that week, the Texans in Houston. Many NFL fans find the former first-round selection's return comical given the connection to all parties involved.

It's very likely that the quarterback will indeed replace current starting signal-caller Jacoby Brissett. Cleveland has been struggling under the backup's leadership, sitting at 2-4 heading into Week 7. So far, Brissett has thrown for a subpar 1,326 yards, six touchdowns, and five interceptions. The Browns are barely keeping pace with the division leaders, the Baltimore Ravens, who currently sit at 3-3.

We'll see the $230 million-dollar man in Watson on the field soon, trying to put the various lawsuits and the speeding incident behind him.
