Dez Bryant deletes tweet calling out Vikings after getting duped by fake Jordan Addison trade news
Dez Bryant was a victim of a fake tweet posted on Wednesday. The former wide receiver, who spent the best moments of his career with the Dallas Cowboys, criticized the Minnesota Vikings after learning they were allegedly sending Jordan Addison to the New England Patriots in a trade.
However, the tweet was from a satire account named @thejudgedan. The user, Daniel Judgeaport, has Mac Jones as his profile picture and states in his Twitter bio that his posts are satire.
Bryant later deleted the tweet in which he criticized the Vikings.
All 32 teams have until Nov. 5 to agree on deals with other franchises; trades are not allowed to happen after, and can only resume in March.
When did Dez Bryant quit football?
After his release from the Dallas Cowboys in 2018, his career never got close to what it was. He did sign with the New Orleans Saints midway through the season, but he tore his Achilles two days later and missed the remainder of the season.
After using 2019 to rehabilitate, he signed with the Ravens for the second half of 2020, but wasn't as impactful as his Cowboys' days. With only six receptions and two touchdowns, it was the last time he played in the NFL.
When Dak Prescott became the starter in Dallas, he did not have a great rapport with Bryant, at least in comparison to what the receiver had with Tony Romo. He had just 1634 receiving yards in two seasons; with Romo, he had three straight years with at least 1230 yards.
His comeback attempt with the New Orleans Saints ended after two days, which certainly didn't help. When he landed with the Baltimore Ravens, however, things became clear. He hasn't signed with a team since then.
