Did Tom Brady throw a chair that hit ball boy in locker room?
The internet is undefeated and many NFL fans have fallen for a recent tweet regarding Tom Brady. After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss to the Carolina Panthers, a troll Twitter account named Barry posted a very long message.
The message stated that Brady was so angered by the loss to the Panthers that after the game, he threw a chair at a ball boy. The tweet said it knocked the ball boy unconscious.
This never happened, but some NFL fans were still left wondering. Most quickly realized that the claim was fake and some pointed out that the account has no blue tick (Twitter verification).
Others commented on the post, saying it was a joke and that the account shouldn't be taken seriously.
Few fans thought the claim was true, but after scrolling through the comments, they discovered their mistake. Whether 'Barry' was trying to be funny or just nasty, his words were completely false.
Tom Brady and Buccaneers in serious trouble
Three points, just three points! That is all the Tampa Bay offense could muster against the Carolina Panthers. After being held scoreless for three quarters, the Buccaneers finally managed a field goal in the fourth. Their fans, obviously, aren't happy.
Tampa Bay's third-down conversion was bad too, going 2/12 and 1/3 on fourth down. Despite the Buccaneers having 16 more plays, they just could not get anything going at all.
With the loss, the Buccaneers fell to 3-4, with four defeats in their last five games. Crisis time in Tampa? It certainly looks that way.
With Barry's fake Twitter account posting what it did, given all the issues both on and off the field, it isn't totally surprising that some people thought it was real.
Such has been Tampa Bay's struggles that many think Tom Brady's marriage troubles have something to do with it. Either way, things need to be sorted out, and quickly. Otherwise, Brady will be watching the playoffs from his couch.
