DK Metcalf reveals NFL's text to get him drug tested following viral social media clip
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf woke up Sunday morning to a text message that every athlete hates.
A clip of him making a one-handed leaping catch and winning MVP at the NBA celebrity All-Star game went viral. However, that led to Metcalf waking up to a message saying that he's been selected for a random drug test.
On his Instagram story, he shared a text from the league saying:
"Good Morning DK. This is Brian Keller on behalf of the NFL you've been selected for a PES policy collection tomorrow 2/20/2023. Please contact me as soon as possible so that we may arrange a time and place to meet tomorrow."
Metcalf's video which went viral this weekend showed him making an unbelievably acrobatic one-handed catch from a Fast Twitch Super Bowl LVII event on February 9. Many are wondering if the video is fake or not, and Metcalf hasn't spoken on behalf of the video.
Metcalf also participated in and won the MVP at the 2023 NBA Celebrity All-Star game, which was held this weekend. He made 9 of 16 shots and finished the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks in an 81-78 team victory.
DK Metcalf is one of the most freakish athletes in the world
Seahawks star wide receiver DK Metcalf is one of the most impressive athletes in the entire world.
Before he was drafted into the NFL, there was a viral picture of Metcalf at the combine where he looked much bigger and more jacked than anyone else in the picture.
Metcalf has also made some freakish NFL plays. In Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season, he recorded an incredible pursuit tackle on Arizona Cardinals' safety Budda Baker after he picked off Russell Wilson.
In 2021, Metcalf tried out for the US Olympic team and clocked a 10.37 100-metre time at the USA Track and Field Golden Games meet.
He fell short and did not qualify, but was placed 15th out of 17 and showed he can compete with other high-level athletes in their world.
DK Metcalf is one of the most athletic players in the NFL and will be entering his fifth season in the NFL. He has 4,218 yards, 90 receptions, and 35 touchdowns so far.
