Dolphins fans fume on Tyler Huntley, Mike McDaniel and Co. as team struggles on MNF - "Pathetic play and coaching"

The situation for Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins couldn't get worse at this point. The head coach has seen his starter quarterback get hurt early in the season, and what was supposed to be a great year will see them 1-3 without much hope for anything.

Sure, without Tua Tagovailoa, the offense would always take a hit – no matter if you like him or not, this is still an above-average quarterback in the NFL. But this team looks disjointed in all phases and they literally can't put anything together with the offense, and their coach hasn't fixed anything.

Dolphins fans couldn't stand their team once again playing at a mediocre level, especially against a Tennessee Titans team that certainly doesn't qualify as one of the greats in the league, and made their feelings known on X/Twitter:

The Titans were also playing with a backup quarterback for most of the game, as Will Levis hurt his shoulder midway through the first quarter and Mason Rudolph had to take over, which only made the Dolphins' loss more embarrassing.

Should the Dolphins and Mike McDaniel move on from Tua Tagovailoa?

The Dolphins can't just give up on Tua Tagovailoa, as they don't have better options at the moment. But his concussions are extremely concerning for his long-term commitment to the franchise, especially as he just signed a huge contract extension.

There's no denying that, when things are great, Tua Tagovailoa is an excellent quarterback. But you need your leader to make your team better, and not the other way around. His availability has become a problem, his play in Week 1 also wasn't great and Miami is unlikely to make the playoffs even when he returns.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are much better players when he's around and the offense is totally crafted to his strengths. But this isn't an excuse for Miami to play as poor as they've done in the past three weeks. Mike McDaniel, who's often called an offensive genius, needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror before sleeping on Monday.

His team needs to wake up.
