Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert's wife Devon pens emotional message for Tua Tagovailoa

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion on Thursday evening. Support for the quarterback has flooded social media in the hours since the injury. Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert's wife, Devon Mostert sent out a touching message in the wake of the injury.

Devon Mostert spoke out about the serious side of the National Football League and about how there is more to life than what takes place on the field. She sent her prayers to Tua Tagovailoa and encouraged NFL fans to show compassion to all players in the league. Devon Mostert posted to Instagram:

"Football has been extra heavy lately. My prayers haven't stopped. These men are dad, husbands, sons, teammates, friends that are FAMILY. It's week 2 and life has been put into perspective an uncountable amount of times already. Fans, please remember to be considerate. To have a heart. This is our reality... not a fantasy league."

Raheem Mostert is dealing with a serious injury of his own after suffering a chest injury in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He did not play on Thursday night.

Tua Tagovailoa's injury hit close to home for former NFL QB

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was rushing on a fourth down and four late in the third quarter. He lowered his head after gaining the necessary yards, running right into Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.

Tagovailoa laid on the ground for a few minutes before he was thankfully able to walk off on his own power. The head injury is the fourth documented of Tagovailoa's young career. For former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, watching Tagovailoa's latest concussion brought back unfortunate memories of his playing days. Favre posted to X, formerly known as Twitter:

"Like many of you, I saw the concussion Tua suffered last night. It was chilling to see him blackout, and I had flashbacks from the hits taken during my career. I just want to send prayers to Tua's family and hope he recovers soon."

Favre also had his fair share of concussions throughout his career, some of which weren't documented. He has since been an advocate for prevention and treatment of those suffering from brain injury conditions.

The Buffalo Bills fanbase, famously known as "Bills Mafia" also sent their well wishes to Tagovailoa. Shortly after he left the game, Buffalo fans made a $16,000 donation to The Tua Foundation, a charity that works to "support of youth initiatives, health and wellness, and other charitable causes."
