Donna Kelce names one thing Jason Kelce has over 3x Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce

Jason Kelce announced his retirement during the 2024 NFL offseason after a legendary career with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest centers of all-time, including being a perennial first-team All-Pro. He also helped his team win a Super Bowl and is expected to eventually be a Hall of Famer.

While winning a ring is often one of the biggest goals of any NFL player, it's hard to ignore the massive success of his brother Travis Kelce. The Kanasas City Chiefs superstar has already won three rings, including in each of the past two seasons, and could potentially have more of them on the way.

Their mother Donna Kelce is apparently well aware of the comparison between her two sons, but pointed out that Jason accomplished something in the Super Bowl that Travis never did, and likely never will. She discussed this during a recent appearance on The Martha Stewart Podcast for a Mother's Day episode.

Donna Kelce explained:

"Jason had won one, the 52nd Super Bowl, okay, they played against the Patriots. Yeah, Jason actually can say he beat Tom Brady. Oh, that's so great, but that's the only thing that he has one up on Travis. Travis has three rings, but Jason beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. So that's always bragging rights at Thanksgiving."

Travis Kelce had one opportunity to face off against Tom Brady in a Super Bowl, but his Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This marked Brady's NFL record seventh ring, and now that he is retired, the tight end is unlikely to ever get another shot against him. His brother Jason Kelce also had one chance to beat the GOAT in a Super Bowl and capitalized on it.

Super Bowl LII featured a showdown between Tom Brady's New England Patriots and Jason Kelce's Philadelphia Eagles. The Patriots were listed as massive favorites prior to the start of the game, not only because of their incredible dynasty, but because the Eagles were playing with a back-up quarterback.

Nick Foles was forced to replace an injured Carson Wentz for their run through the NFL Playoffs. Many counted them out because of this, but they apparently shouldn't have. It resulted in one of the most unlikely Super Bowl runs of all-time and a legendary story that will live on forever in NFL history, as Philly won 41-33.
