Drake Maye's girlfriend Ann Michael Hudson fully hyped as Patriots rookie racks up first TD
Drake Maye and the New England Patriots may have lost Thursday's preseason matchup, but they had some positive moments in the game. One of those moments was when Maye scored the first touchdown of his NFL career.
His girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson, showed her excitement for it. She reshared the clip of Maye taking the short run to the end zone and added a hype caption to show how ecstatic she was.
"LET'S GOOOOO!"
Hudson also shared photos of herself and Maye on the field at Gillette Stadium before kickoff. She wore a white skirt that she paired with a navy, short-sleeved shirt, and a red Patriots hat. In the Instagram post, she marked the start of his career in the National Football League.
"Just the beginning."
Drake Maye went 6-for-11, throwing for 47 yards in Thursday's 14-13 loss to the Eagles. The rookie quarterback also rushed on four occasions for a total of 15 yards, including the touchdown run.
Rob Gronkowski said Pats should trade QB Bailey Zappe to get Drake Maye more reps
Rob Gronkowski knows a thing or two about what it takes to have a successful career in the NFL. The four-time Super Bowl champion made an appearance on FS1's "First Things First" on August 9 and said rookie quarterback Drake Maye needs to get reps during preseason games.
Gronkowski believes that giving him more time in the preseason will allow him to be successful during the regular season. He also added that New England should trade backup Bailey Zappe, who they drafted in 2022, as he is taking time on the field away from Maye.
“My hot take is that Bailey Zappe needs to be freed,” Gronkowski said. “They gotta either let him go or they gotta trade him, because he’s taking away reps from Drake Maye. He’s taking away reps from Joe Milton. Bailey Zappe is not gonna be on that team by the end of training camp. Bailey Zappe needs to be freed so he can go to another team and show what he has.”
The New England Patriots currently have four quarterbacks on the roster including Maye and Zappe. The Patriots signed veteran backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett this offseason and drafted former Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III.
