“Do y’all think we’re watching the next Tom Brady” – Draymond Green goes all-out on Brock Purdy hype after 49ers’ TNF win vs Seahawks

Brock Purdy led the San Francisco 49ers to another victory and clinched the NFC West Division title. Purdy made his second career start as the 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-13.

After Jimmy Garoppolo broke his foot against the Miami Dolphins, Purdy stepped in to replace him and hasn't looked back since then.

Golden State Warriors veteran star Draymond Green has been left impressed by how Purdy has played for the 49ers. He even compared him to Tom Brady. Here's what Draymond Green said about Brock Purdy to the Amazon Prime team during the game against the Seahawks:

"And to watch what Brock Purdy is doing as Mr. Irrelevant, it is so impressive, I was watching the game last week, and I said to some of my friends, 'Hey fellas, do y'all think we're watching the next Tom Brady."

Green added:

"You know, Tom Brady being a sixth-round pick — are we watching the next Tom Brady?' We don't quite know that yet, but to see what this guy is doing is absolutely amazing.”

Purdy does have a similar story to Brady, but he still has a long way to go to reach that level.

The San Francisco 49ers have one of the best rosters in the NFL, as evidenced by the fact that they have played with three different quarterbacks this season. Jimmy Garoppolo played extremely well after replacing Trey Lance, and after Jimmy G got hurt, the 49ers haven't missed a beat with Brock Purdy.

In Week 15 Purdy had another flawless game. Against the Seattle Seahawks, he completed 17/26 throws for 216 yards and two touchdowns. George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey also came up big for the 49ers against one of their biggest rivals.

The 49ers have three remaining games against these teams:

  1. Washington Commanders
  2. Las Vegas Raiders
  3. Arizona Cardinals

If the 49ers do not rest their key players in these games, we believe they will win all three. Purdy has the chance to make the playoffs as an undefeated quarterback, and it will be intriguing to watch how he performs on the big stage.

Jimmy Garoppolo might return in time for the Divisional Round, but if Purdy continues to play as well as he has, it won't be surprising if Jimmy G remains as Purdy's backup.
