Eagles legend Jason Kelce reveals why he repped Broncos on Monday Night Football

Philadelphia Eagles icon Jason Kelce has become synonymous with the franchise since cementing his place as a legend of the team since winning a Super Bowl. The burly center called it quits after a gruelling season last year and has since traded his cleats for work wear after landing a job with ESPN.

He was present for the Week 13 Monday Night Football showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Cleveland Browns. At the tailgate, Kelce was seen wearing a Broncos jersey despite being from Cleveland, Ohio. One fan raised the question of whether he had abandoned his roots, to which Kelce tweeted:

"Every tailgate I go into Monday Night Football, I wear a jersey honoring a former great of the home team. For the Jets, I wore Abdul Salaam’s jersey to honor him after his passing as one of the great members of the Sack Exchange. For the Steelers game, I wore my friend and desk mate Ryan Clark’s jersey. For the Chiefs I wanted to honor Abner Haynes and his contributions to the game in many ways.
"Tonight, I wore Tom Nalen’s jersey as one of the legendary centers of the game and a guy I looked up to and watched when learning the position as an undersized center."

Kelce added that the thought behind repping various players is to honor them while venturing into tailgates and bonding with the fans. However, the Eagles icon made it a point to make it known he was rooting for the Browns.

When the ESPN desk was asked for predictions on who would win at Browns vs Broncos, Kelce was the only one who predicted a Cleveland win, but that didn't come to transpire.

Jason Kelce's family embraces media spotlight after retirement

Jason Kelce's New Heights podcast along with his brother Travis Kelce has frequently featured as the top podcasts on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. While that podcast has drawn a lot of attention for the pair, it appears that another Kelce is set to join the podcast club.

Last week, Jason Kelce's wife, Kylie, announced that she was starting a podcast of her own titled Not Gonna Lie.

Kylie said that she would talk about a range of topics on her podcast which would premier every Thursday, including what she thinks about Dak Prescott's viral "We f**king s**k" clip from earlier this year.
