Eagles rookie Trevor Keegan claims viral Eagles stadium practice was louder than Michigan Stadium during national championship run
Philadelphia Eagles rookie guard Trevor Keegan played for the Michigan Wolverines, who average 110,000 home fans at games. While Lincoln Financial Field doesn't hold the same number of fans in its stadium, it is still one of the most electrifying and energetic stadiums in the NFL.
Keegan, who was drafted in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, said that even though the Eagles' stadium holds fewer people, it's louder than Michigan's stadium, which holds nearly double the capacity. Around 50,000 people showed up at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday for the team's public practice.
“I even got a little emotional getting over to the stadium [on Thursday for the public practice]. I don’t know how many people were there, but it was louder than Michigan’s stadium. Definitely. It was rockin’. I got goosebumps," Keegan said via PFT.
The Eagles will open up their 2024 pre-season on the road for their first two games as they face the Baltimore Ravens this Friday and the New England Patriots next Thursday.
As he prepares for pre-season games, Keegan said he isn't used to having such games ahead of the season since college football doesn't have one.
“I never had a preseason game in college, but I’m making sure my body is up to steam, make sure I’m getting sleep and the food that I need to get me ready for each and every day," Keegan said.
Philadelphia Eagles will look to come back out as NFC East in champs in 2024
The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to become a legit Super Bowl contender once again this season. In 2023, the Eagles appeared in the Super Bowl and competed with the Kansas City Chiefs, losing 38-35.
Looking to make another Super Bowl this past season, Philadelphia started the season off hot, winning 10 of their first 11 games. However, they had a late-season meltdown, losing five of their last six games, finishing with an 11-6 record and placing second in the NFC East behind the Dallas Cowboys.
This season is big for coach Nick Sirianni, who could be on the hot seat if the team underperforms and doesn't make it to the playoffs. They've signed important free agents, including Saquon Barkley, C.J. Uzomah, Mehki Becton, Bryce Huff, Devin White, and C.J. Gardner Johnson.
Do you think Philly will make a playoff run this season?
