Ndamukong Suh Eagles’ latest target for reinforcements after Linval Joseph
They say the rich get richer and the Philadelphia Eagles got richer as they signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Ian Rapoport reported on the news today saying that the deal was done and agreed to. This comes just a day after the Eagles signed two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Linval Joseph.
Philly's defensive line now consists of Suh, Joseph, Jordan Davis, Josh Sweat, Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Robert Quinn. The line can easily be regarded as the best in the NFL this year.
This will be both Suh and Joseph's 13th season in the NFL. Suh won Defensive Rookie of the Year, is a five-time Pro Bowler, five-time All-Pro, Super Bowl champion, and is a part of the NFL 2010s All-Decade team.
In his career, he has 590 tackles, 70.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries, one interception, 38 pass deflections, and three defensive touchdowns.
Joseph is a two-time Pro Bowler and a Super Bowl champion. He has 644 career tackles, 25 sacks, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, six pass deflections, and one defensive touchdown.
Suh and Joseph will bring a veteran presence and leadership to the Eagles' defense, specifically the line. Additionally, their new contracts will make them an extra bit richer.
